Nigel Holness, London Underground's director of network operations, said:
"The cause of the smoke was an electrical fault under one of the carriages,
which resulted in a small fire that was quickly extinguished."

Let's hope it's not a generic fault with the elderly 1972TS that
necessitates the whole fleet being withdrawn for inspections!

A Bakerloo closure in August when Waterloo is already half-shut is
perhaps the least damaging Tube closure you can have.
