Watford Junction plans get cash boost

By John Harrison »

Plans to renovate Watford Junction have received a major boost
following news the project has been approved for a multi-million pound
grant.
The train operator, London Midland, has received approval for funding
for the improvement programme, which is estimated will cost between
£1.5 million and £3 million.
As part of the plans the station forecourt will be improved, along
with the platforms and the station entrance.
The plans are for work to begin next Spring, with the improvements
completed by September 2010.
The detailed design phase will start this summer, before plans go on
public display later this year.
