Blake Street to Southall Broadway, what ticket do I need? by ryouwho@hotmail.com
(Blake Street is a little station on the north side of Birmingham) When visting London via this route I usually get a day return to Marylebone on Chiltern, with a zones 1-6 travelcard on the same ticket. Would this cover me to catch the tube to padington, then the train to Southall?, then the bus to Southall Broadway (I have an Oystercard if that is a better option, but as far as I can see you...

Changing at Bank by martin
I'm flying from London City this evening, and Journey Planner is advising me to avoid changing at Bank: "BANK/MONUMENT STATION: Reduced escalator service until further notice. Avoid changing trains at Bank/Monument Passengers are advised to avoid changing trains at Bank/Monument, until further notice, due to ongoing escalator work which is slowing down interchange time through the station. THIS IS MOHAMMED 28 by msk2000
THE END AGREAT MAN After spending the rest of the day of 'Arafah in prayer and contemplation, the Muslims began to complete the pilgrimage by returning to Mecca with the talbiyah prayer still on their lips. The first night of the return journey was spent at Muzdalifah. Here they gathered pebbles, which they carried with them the next day to Mina. There they stood before a huge rock and stoned it...

East London Line work by Martin J
On my journey from New X Gate to Canada Water today, I was surprised to see just before Surrey Quays, evidence of new track forming a new junction just south of Surrey Quays, which I think is heading in the direction of Queens Road Peckham. I can see the progress of the flyover north of New X gate but surprised to see this other work as I thought that bit was stage 2. Any...

Oyster at Euston Platform 7 by google@woodall.me.uk[_2_]
Does anyone know if there is an oyster reader hidden somewhere at platform 7 or on the main concourse at Euston? Yesterday I was on a later train than usual (08:20 something I think) and it arrived at platform 7. But I couldn't see an oyster reader anywhere. In the end I had to go down to the 8-11 platforms and "touch out" on the gate there. To add insult to injury, that detour (which wasn't...

THIS IS MOHAMMED 27 by msk2000
Three men of spiritual value who had not joined the army were subjected by the Prophet (pbuh) to the discipline of waiting for Allah's forgiveness. For fifty days no one spoke to them. Finally, Allah revealed a verse to the Prophet (pbuh) which declared that these three men were forgiven: In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful "Allah hath turned in mercy to the Prophet, and to the...

If I touch in at West Kensington and travel to Ealing Broadway, and as I am not needed to, do not touch out there... does this mean that when I come home and only touch out at West Kensington I will be charged as if I never left in the first place? I travel to Ealing Broadway purely for Network Rail and I don't need to go through any Oyster barriers when I arrive...so I only touch in and touch...

Getting a Network Railcard by Steve Dulieu
Hi All, Does anyone here know if it's possible to obtain a Network Railcard on-line? And if if not, how would someone living in Ipswich go about getting one? I've tried the obvious sites, One, National Rail and Railcard.co.uk but all seem determined to make it as difficult as possible to get hold of one. -- Cheers, Steve. Change jealous to sad to reply.

Talking Buses by CJB
Heathrow Connect is one of the worst talking trains with numerous repetitive and pointless announcements like 'CCTV is used aboard this train.' So what? This didn't stop a hoodie attempting to knife a member of staff a few months ago. Now we have talking buses - like the Transdev's H98. This not only announces the next bus stop, but also stupid requests such as don't forget to take all your...
