Attempt 3) Was told they couldn't refund the money they obtained via

They're adjacent stations on the Victoria and Northern Lines. The
circle/Met/H&C stops at Euston Square nearby, but that is also next stop
and how easy is it to use the bus between these two stations
and also please can anyone tell me the walking distance

Diamond West Midlands Bus Story by
Ian Jelf
My mother came back from a shopping and doctor's appointment trip with a
pretty amazing bus story yesterday.
I know that there are all sorts of anecdotal stories about Polish bus
drivers with limited English skills floating around but this is a first
hand one and - despite being a bit funny - is actually rather worrying.
She was waiting for a Diamond 123 bus at Bearwood with a few other...

Thameslink 2000 Power by
Phil
If and when the Thameslink 2000 project takes place, are the plans to keep
the 3rd rail power supply south of the river and the overhead supply north
of the river or are there plans/aspirations to make the whole lot overhead

Gospel Oak-Barking by
Andrea
I have travelled several times on the Silverlink Gospel Oak to Barking
service in the past fortnight. What has shocked me is the apparent
large-scale fare evasion on this route.
There is always a guard present on the train but he/she never
materialises to check tickets. I have heard dozens of people say that
they never buy tickets as there is no deterrent factor (many stations
are open and...

Bizarre Crossrail animated map on London Tonight by
John Rowland
Did anyone else see this? It had the Shenfield branch not going via
Whitechapel, suggesting it was a bit old, but more curiously it had two
stations between Acton Mainline and Paddington! The District Line and
Crossrail serving Bethnal Green national rail station, which was labelled
Stratford, was another interesting detail....

They do not pay in anything like direct proportion to mileage. A

Oyster card journeys on expenses by
the_invisible_man_@hotmail.com
Wonder if any of you kind Londoners can help me out here.
As someone who visits London frequently, I already have an
(unregistered) Oyster card, which I top up from time to time with
little bits of cash here and there. In a couple of weeks though, I'll
be going to London for a work-related visit.
To save money, I'm intending to use the Oyster card. Is there a way I
can get a print-out of my...

Ticket inspections on the tube network by
Andrea
Having used the tube for several years, I've never yet encountered a
revenue ticket inspection on board a tube train or within station
passages . Do LUL ever bother checking tickets randomly on the
network or do they let the ticket gates do the job?
I did get my Oyster card swiped by someone on board a DLR train to
Custom House last Fri. If I hadn't touched in my annual Oystercard,
would I...
