Annual Oyster validity on National Rail by
Andrea
My local underground station (Holland Park) didn't have the info to
hand, so can somebody kindly tell me which National Rail/tram routes
in London my annual Z1-3 Oystercard can be used on?
Is it also true that I can use any bus service in greater London,
despite only being able to go as far as Z3 on the tube?
If I wanted to go to a station in Zone 4, do I have to buy a single
zone extension...

Looking for a convenient station with luggage lockers. by
sweek
Hi there,
I've got a friend arriving at Heathrow Airport in a week, and he's
going to be staying at my place. The problem is that he's arriving in
the morning that day, while I myself won't be flying back in via
Gatwick till later that evening. The plan is that he's going to
explore London on his own, and that we'll meet up together later on
and take a train to where I live (Uxbridge-ish).
He's...

Southall - Zonal fare rip-off? by
Terry Casey
A friend went to Goodmayes station on Friday morning and asked for a single
to Southall, for which he was charged £5.10. He set off via Liverpool Street
and Paddington but when he got to Southall he was told his ticket was
invalid and he would have to pay again - £3.10.
He explained that he had asked for a ticket to Southall and pointed out that
the ticket included zone 4 (both Goodmayes and...

North London Line by
Edward Cowling London UK
I used the North London Line to get from Highbury and Islington the last
two days there were enough people to fill 8 carriages, but only 3 on the
train.
It must be common, because there was no hesitancy getting on board,
everyone runs and crams into every available inch of space.
Is this cattle truck scenario the norm ??

London Transport museum by
David Cantrell
At Covent Garden station this morning the charming young lady^Wrecorded
announcement was telling people to get off there for the museum. I take
it that it has re-opened then?
And I notice that the announcement was about "London's transport museum"
and not the "London Transport museum". Bah.
