Default Bendy buses - speed of boarding

Steph Davies wrote:
I know a few other people have mentioned this, but once we're into the
New Year with flat £1 pre-pay cash fares everywhere, there are going
to be many more people using 70p Saver tickets on bendy buses. These
people will have to board at the driver's door, completely defeating
the object of 3-door loading/unloading.

It would "completely" defeat the object only if nobody used bus passes or
Travelcards. Anyway, why is this not a problem already since people can
use 65p Savers instead of the £1 Zone 1 fare? You seem to be clutching at
straws to denigrate these buses because they get in your way as a cyclist.
