Default Changing from NR to Northern Line at Moorgate

Can someone tell journeyplanner.org and all the other websites, apps,
etc etc, that if you want to go from Bowes Park to London Bridge, it's
a hell of a lot easier to change at Moorgate (down one tiny escalator
- about 20 seconds all in) than at Old Street (which takes about 3
minutes).

Everywhere recommends changing at Old Street, which I cannot
understand. Moorgate is so much easier.

I think journey planners default to recommend changing at the first
available interchange point (in this case Old Street) - indeed if you
ask the Journey Planner for the reverse journey, it'll recommend you
change at Moorgate.

I am sorry for taking so long to find a counter-example to that very
interesting hypothesis.

I now have one. Oxford Circus - Kennington has a change at Waterloo,
which is the third and penultimate interchange point.

cf. http://journeyplanner.tfl.gov.uk/use...ST2?language=e

ATION&itdTime=858

The almost-text version shows a 4 minute Waterloo interchange.

The reverse direction trip interchanges at Elephant & Castle.
Sadly, &name_via=EMBANKMENT&type_via=stop does not cause an interchange
at Embankment as both routes go through that station.

It is possible to estimate the interchange at 4 minutes at Embankment by
doing Oxford Circus - Euston via Embankment. i.e. view
Bakerloo Southbound - Northern Northbound as a proxy for
Bakerloo Southbound - Northern Southbound.

Curiously, Oxford Circus - Euston via Charing Cross also goes via
Embankment. While I know the Charing Cross interchange between Bakerloo
and Northern lines is tortuous, I am surprised that Embankment is
preferred with a double back. ;(

The OP may want to argue at the LU CSC (Customer Service Centre) that
"Routes with the least walking between stops" should cause Bowes Park -
London Bridge to interchange at Moorgate rather than Old Street.
Relevant information can be found at the Direct Enquiries site (no
longer maintained as TfL stopped paying for it) via
http://www.directenquiries.com/londo...=Underground%2
0Stations&level=1

Oh drat! That site ignores FCC platforms. The OP could always measure
and scale with the journey planner information.

Alternatively, he can use the fact that the 2 directions between Bowes
Park and London Bridge Underground Station (sic) show a 3 minute NS Old
Street interchange and a 2 minute SN Moorgate interchange.
(Journey Planner has strange ambiguity ideas. e.g. Try Wembley Stadium.)
