Default London Bus Destination Displays

Do you ever get London buses in normal service which are unable to display
the correct destination for the service or is this just a provincial
malaise?

Weird you should say that. I was at Aldwych today and saw a 341 which had
"Please ask Driver" as its destination. Covering their backs, maybe if the
bus is used for rail replacement or something, or just covering their backs?

Regards,
Nes.
