yup there's loads of derelict land around the former Merton Abbey station,
slowly being redeveloped


However, alignments to Colliers Wood station seem a lot easier.

but you've got to get there.

unless you knock down the adjacent block of flats, trams will have to enter
from the opposite side of the road, tens of yards from a junction that is
normally much busier than it was when Google took this picture.

I've no dog in this fight, it doesn't bother me if they **** up this
junction, but I can't see the LA going for it.
