Default Pictures of stations for a small fee im willing to go anywhere for you for pictures on the LU

Digital is great, but in my work i find SLR is much better.
The quality of film i use brings out the best photos.
Film is still used, and i find the gadgets on my camera are much better
than some expensive digi cameras.
But still its nice to have the choice.
Please contact me if you wish to use my service

But in the end of the day, is my service what people want.
If i get enough requests i will ask the LU for permission, but if i
dont i think ill leave the idea alone.
Most of the people on here think it stupid but hey i dont have the
money to advertise greatly and if they ask me to pay for what im doing
it would cost to much.
Now i think it was stupid idea. But if you guys think it's a good idea
and i should ask permission ill do it.
Cheers
James

What error?

He's so busy making his own mistakes that he can't even spot other people's!
Brimstone wrote "you make an effort to English" when I think he probably
meant "you make an effort to use English".

I haven't noticed anyone saying it's a stupid idea, only that you need to
get your act together.

Indeed - and by the way, since you do charge for it, ask for permission,
otherwise you might end up finding out that someone in this group
actually tip LU about your website.......

it would not be economical.

Most probably not, but I can't say anything for the others around in the
group.
Besides, if you already applied LU for a permit, I sincerely assume you
told them what the permit is for, otherwise you really might be looking
into serious troubles if/when LU finds out what you actually plan on
doing with the permit....

You seriously think all the tourists on the tube taking pictures of
their friends and themselves get a permit beforehand? As long as he
doesn't look like he's doing any professional work (eg camera on stand,
taking 5 mins to set up a shot etc) its very unlikely any LU staff
would
bother him.

I'm not sure about your last few words, however LU's official policy for
*personal* photography is that it IS PERMITTED, subject to the usual rules
about flash, tripods, et cetera. This is contained within LU's Reference
Manual (official guidance for staff), and has been the subject of repeated
reminders in the weekly Traffic Circulars. Therefore, there should be no
difficulty in taking photos.

However, an email from LU's commercial/press office is not unlikely -
however it would be a bit pathetic for them to invest their time on a matter
such as this.

As far as the issue of photography goes, it's also worth noting that there
is no restriction on taking photos from public places (apart from of
military installations, etc). I once had an argument with two security
guards at Bexhill station, so instead went to the public bridge that crosses
the middle of the station, and took a vast selection of photos, including
some flash-/zoom-assisted photos of the two members of staff concerned, for
which they threatened to call the Police and I encouraged them to do so...
:-) Needless to say one of the photos concerned was included in a letter to
Southern, the response to which suggested the two concerned were no longer
in their employment as a result of this and other incidents.
