Default Freedom Pass extention tickets

Last year I was able to buy extensions to my partner's Freedom Pass to
Reading and Chelmsford at Stanmore (LUL) Station. In the last month the
staff have told me it can't be done, and I had to buy the tickets at
Paddington and Liverpool Street.

Is this new (younger, ? less-experienced) staff showing ignorance and
unwillingness to serve the public, or has the facility been withdrawn? It is
a pain having to go via the ticket offices and queue at the big main line
stations when we can walk up to the window at Stanmore. If it is ignorance
or idleness is there any form of words I can use that might get these people
to sell me the ticket I need to do the whole journey carrying the correct
tickets for the trip.

Thanks in anticipation,

Mike Roberts

Dunno. Staff are present so seldom at Burnt Oak I never try buying
anything there. Staff at London terminals seem to know all about issuing
tickets from 'Boundary Zone 6' (or boundary zone 4 cos it was cheaper)
to Cambridge or wherever.
