Lol I know it was famous for only having six customers before it closed.

Disused London station names suitable for use as pseudonyms:

Blake Hall
Mark Lane
Victoria Park
Lee Bridge (justifiable respelling)
King William Street (marginal)

Roding Valley, IIRC, on the assumption you are referring to London
Underground stations only.

I wonder why that would be? It's in a built-up area. But maybe
people walk to Buckhurst Hill or Woodford to get a direct/more
frequent train.

The other issue is that Roding Valley isn't a 'destination'. It has almost
nothing nearby in terms of shops, local employment, schools etc. It is also
poorly served by buses, so has little use as an interchange. The same
comments, albeit to a lesser extent, apply to the other Hainault Loop
stations - Chigwell and Grange Hill, and in the same neck of the woods,
Fairlop. All these stations are situated in relatively affluent areas of
high car ownership.

The LU station stats for 2006 are at
http://www.tfl.gov.uk/corporate/mode...ound/1592.aspx
(You used to be able to get to it via "Corporate" and then "London
Underground", but the link from there seems to have disappeared in the last
week or so.)

Roding Valley does appear to be the least used (0.179 million entries/exits
per annum), followed I think by Grange Hill at 0.287 million.

If you go back to 2003 then both Grange Hill and Chigwell were lower than
Roding Valley but for some reason the Roding Valley figures have remained
constant while the other two have increased significantly.
