I'm really intrigued as to what it means. My only search came up with
some non-sensical left-wing rants which my browser automatically
filters.

What if the end result takes years to come about? Researching for some
new drug for example.

Precisely, but assuming you could value that contribution (if 10
different people research a drug, but 9 of then turn up blanks, the
one that doesn't shouldn't get paid more because they had a little
luck)

Should cycle couriers be paid a fortune?

No , because cycling is not particularly dangerous

Moreso than bus driving

You've obviously never cycled in central London ;-)

The easiest definition of a class traitor would be a working class
person who voted for any other party than Labour.

Er, that's been replaced by any working class person who voted for New
Labour.

So in other words if you make your own mind up who to vote for instead
of being a sheep you're vilified by the lefties. Yup , that pretty
much sums up socialists doesn't it - democracy is great as long as you
vote who we want you to vote for.

Or as Andy Capp once put it - "What's the point of voting if the bloke you
vote for doesn't get in..?!"
