Default Oval hangup

The glass canopy which surrounds Oval station was yesterday struck by
a stray roof tiile which shattered the glass above the front exit.
Monty acted quickly and shut the front entrance, opened the "Test
match" entrance.
The glass had shattered in the manner of a car windscreen, but unlike
bus windscreens 'twas not covered in a plastic sheet.
The SS did very well to make sure no one was injured, especially as
glass crystals continued to drop from the canopy until smashed out by
the fire brigade,
Members of the public assumed that the canopy had been struck by
lightning.
If the roof tile had not hit the canopy, and had instead hit someone
on the head, it would have been ike The Omen.
