Yes, although less around Bank (other than restoring bomb damage) than
in other parts of the city. Even when the Bank of England was rebuilt,
it was done on its earlier footprint. I imagine the line would have run
below Prince's Street, which is still there.

(Not that I think that it's a very viable proposal, though!)
