There are, in any case, no zones now for buses anyway (since 4
January).

High Barnet is still in Zone 5 for the Tube though.

Any Travelcard can be used on any bus.

Does that mean e.g. on the 84 out to St Albans, or is it just within the

former GLC area?

Some buses accept travelcards outside the Greater London boundary, others do
not.

The 84 accepts travelcards as far as Potters Bar (Cranborne Road), but not
to St. Albans.

There is a leaflet available which describes which buses do & don't accept
travelcards - I'm sure someone here will advise how to get one / what it is
called. If you download the bus map PDF's from the TFL Bus website (NOT the
spider maps) they also show the extent of the travelcard validity.
