Default Crystal Palace station

I'm impressed with the speed of transformation of the northern half of
Crystal Palace station, containing the former platforms 3 and 4 to/
from Forest Hill and London Bridge. When I last visited the station in
November 2008, there was just a pile of dirt in between the two
platforms.

There are now a total of four platforms in this half of the station.
Bay platform 3 occupies the former southernmost bay (whose track had
been lifted by 2008), evidently intended for the East London Line,
platform 4 is essentially the former platform 3 (through trains
towards Gipsy Hill etc.). Platform 5 is a new bay forming the southern
face of a brand new island platform, and platform 6 is the northern
face of this new island, for through services to Forest Hill.

The old platform 4 and the former northernmost bay (whose track was
also lifted by 2008) seem to be out of service now, with the old
platform 4 having "do not alight here" signs. Interestingly, old
platform 4 and new platform 6 could be used Spanish Solution style
given they serve the same through track.

SIgnage on the northern half of the station is a bit weird. Overground
branding for sure. Dark blue letters on white, with orange stripe at
top, similar to the single example at New Cross Gate that has been
replaced recently. Platforms 1 and 2 on the Croydon branch seem to
have been left untouched by the works, and retain the white on green
Southern branding.
