Fairly common nowadays in the big stadia where the all round stands
initially led to the grass surface being absolutely useless for large
parts of the year, and led to re-turfing mid season at quite a few grounds.


Thanks. The fact that they are concentrated in the northern half makes
me think not. They also have shadows from the sunlight, so if they are
lights, either they are not switched on or they are faint compared with
the sun.
