I've been asked a question about National Rail discounts on Oyster

I know certain railcards can be linked to Oyster to get PAYG

Underground as well? *

Yes. The Oyster card also becomes non-transferable.

See TfL's Conditions of Carriage, specifically clauses 5.1 (page 10)
and 7.3.10 (page 26).

Clause 5.1 includes the wording:
"If you have an Oyster photocard or Oyster card with a valid discount
concession on it, you cannot transfer it to anyone else to use. If you
have an Oyster card with a valid discount concession on it, you can
only use it if you have the appropriate supporting photocard or
National Railcard with you."

Clause 7.3.10 includes the wording:
"These discounts are only available to the cardholder. You must carry
your National Railcard with you at all times."

Also relevant is Oyster Conditions of Use on National rail services,
specifically clauses 2.5 and 2.6 (page 3).

The aforementioned documents can be found on the TfL website he
