What fare do you pay on a PAYG Oyster card with a Gold Card loaded on
it when you travel on National rail routes where the fare is set by
TFL (Paddington to West Drayton for example)? Thanks

As of this January, Railcard discounts (inc. Gold Cards, but exc.
Network Railcards) now also apply to purely TfL-rated journeys when
using Oyster PAYG (inc. journeys only on the Tube that don't involve
NR).

AFAICS there isn't a table for Railcard-discounted TfL-rated PAYG
fares, but they can be checked using the 'single fare finder' (in the
'Type' drop down box, select 'National Railcard' - which is something
of a misnomer as it encompasses the Gold Card too, but there you go):http://www.tfl.gov.uk/tfl/tickets/fa...inder/current/

Paddington to West Drayton is £1.75 with Railcard discount - worth
bearing in mind that the Railcard-discount is only available for off-
peak PAYG journeys (though also worth bearing in mind that TfL-rated
journeys which arrive into zone 1 during the evening peak - that's
1600-1900 - are now charged at the off-peak level, and hence any
Railcard-discounts apply, and this includes TfL-rated NR journeys such
as West Drayton to Paddington, though obviously not the reverse of
that journey).

Meanwhile the Railcard-discounted daily caps continue to apply to all
journeys after 0930 on weekdays (all day at weekends - well
specifically 0430-0429 next morning).

Thanks. I didn't realise it was now applied to journeys only on Tube/
DLR.
