What happens regarding Hull Trains and Grand Central where passengers

I'm sure there was something on the GC website saying they would
continue to allow you to buy tickets on the train and if wishing to do
so you should simply tell the gateline staff and they will let you
through. How well this will work in practice remains to be seen.
Presumably the same as when you have a e-ticket. They had to let me
through at Cambridge and Leicester on Sunday. As I used the lift at
leicester I had to wait some time while a staff member ambled round to the
relevant gateline. I thought it was a requirement for gatelines to be
staffed or at least directly overlooked. At Leicester they seem to think a
help point is good enough.
