I picked up an FCC leaflet at the Cross today headed "do you travel from
King's Cross". They must lurk in this newsgroup or something! The leaflet
announces (inter alia):

"You asked us to let you know earlier what platform your train is leaving
from so we have invested in system improvements to give you more notice.

From 21 March 2011, we'll be able to let you know sooner from which
platform your service departs. This upgrade means more than one service
can be advertised on the same platform so please check it is the right
train before you board."

On the back of the leaflet it says:

"From underground to overground - making your journey easier

Arriving at King's Cross by Underground? This summer, to let you know
which part of the station your train is leaving from - the main building
(platforms 0-8) or the suburban platforms (9-11) - new departure screens
will be installed in the new Underground ticket hall and at the bottom of
the stairs that lead up to the main concourse."

Hurrah!
