Makes sense, though. They've avoided having to either lengthen platforms
or have SDO on the trains.

....and to be fair passengers are probably quite used to the useful service
pattern south of Horsham nowadays, with the alternate fast portions to/from
Portsmouth and Southampton, and the two Bognor portions forming the stopping
services.
