This has got to be a journalist's error. Surely they wouldn't electrify
the line with 4th rail (they probably wouldn't be allowed to under new
H&S rules) and replacing the current trains with LU ones would be a
retrograde step as regards comfort. I've actually found most of the
trains that run on that line are very good. There are some Pacers which
are crap, but the rest are 158s or something similar which are fairly
comfortable and have a good ride.
