Default Hornsey Thameslink depot revisions approved

http://www.thameslinkprogramme.co.uk...items/view/104

"Haringey Council last night (12 September 2011) approved a revised scheme
for a second depot at Hornsey to maintain new trains being built for the
Thameslink Programme.

"Despite opposition by local residents worried about the impact on their
neighbourhood, the councillors voted 6-3 for approval following a lengthy
debate.

"The new depot will create almost 130 skilled and semi-skilled jobs. There
will be an 18% increase in rush hour capacity on services calling at Hornsey
and Harringay as a result of the new Thameslink Programme trains stopping
elsewhere, as well as new direct services from nearby Finsbury Park across
London to London Bridge, Gatwick and beyond."
