Default cards, was E-ZPass, was CharlieCards v.v. Oyster (and Octopus?)

In message , at 10:18:39 on Sun, 26 Feb

AIUI, in Europe the customer is liable for fraud with EMV cards, which
is why banks and merchants have pushed it there--

Then your understanding is incorrect. There's no extra risk from the
customer using EMV.

break the EMV chip to force signature transactions?

Paranoia.
