Many tourists (particularly from the USA) will have debit cards that
aren't chip-and-pin and these (AIUI) no longer work in TVMs.

OK, that's a problem. People from the USA will need to make sure
they've put enough on their Oyster Card, or bought a travelcard or a
return ticket, if they're planning to travel to less well-trafficed
stations.

Handily, Olympic tickets come complete with a cardboard six (nine?)
zone travelcard.
