Apparently work is starting on the new development at battersey

know when work on the northern line extension to there will begin?

Is it going to begin, or is it still just a proposal at present? I
haven't heard much about it recently.

TfL have applied for deemed planning permission. The Govt agreed in
the Budget earlier this year to back a £1bn loan to fund the
extension.

If all the approvals proceed to programme construction will start in
2015.

I thought that the United States wanted to fund the project for its
planned embassy in Wandsworth.

Sorry, I meant Battersea, and not Wandsworth.
