Great sight seeing the train pull into Uxbridge Station - albeit
late - filling the entire station with smoke and steam!!! But they
didn't wait long before returning to Harrow. Met Locomotive No 1 was
the star. But behind it was Sarah Siddons. And the station staff were
very obliging in allowing free access to the platforms. Not that
there were lot of folk there on what was a nice sunny Sunday
afternoon. The ex-BR Mark 1 carriages were a bit naff though with the
vinyl Met. timber-look-alike transfers. Metropolitan Railway
_Jubilee_ carriage No. 353 looked immaculate though. CJB.

Err... Are you sure you were there, because Met No. 1 wasn't! It
failed the previous night and was replaced by the Prairie tank in
Met livery with bogus number L150. A good day all round despite a
bit of late running, and a glorious sunset to boot.

Correct it was L150 - but it looked authentic and made all the right
smells and sounds CJB

First outing with cut-down cab for tunnel working for L150, according to the
Christmas edition of Railway Magazine.
