The Travel Information Centre at Euston, which was only opened in
2009, is now apparently closed. TfL currently list only five TICs:
Liverpool Street (tube station), Piccadilly Circus (tube station),
Victoria (National Rail station, opposite platform 8), King's Cross
(National Rail station, western ticket hall), Heathrow T123 (next to
T123 Tube station).
Er, surely the western ticket hall is not in King's Cross National
Rail station but in King's Cross St Pancras underground station,
actually under the St Pancras forecourt?
The KGX/STP underground station is a bit scattered around, so the
least confusing way to describe it is Kings Cross/St Pancras (tube
station, western ticket hall).
So, you're agreeing with me that it's not in the National Rail station,
western ticket hall at King's cross?
Yes, because although the tube station is called KGX/STP, the two
National Rail stations have separate identities. However, people
sometimes abbreviate the tube station name to "Kings Cross", which
enhances the muddle-factor. I posted what I thought was the most
suitable description.
I was commenting on "Richard J."'s post though.
