I'm struggling with the idea that anyone would pay good money to ride on

I've travelled on them many times from new (including when they had the
Metacones and transverse seats). I think the gentleman doth protest too much.

For a number of years on and off I travelled from KX to the City. They were
hideous trains - seats that were too small, a jerky ride and frankly they were
too short for the number of passengers trying to use them. Whoever thought
6 cars would be enough should have been sacked.

I'd might however pay to see them shoved off a barge into the
atlantic like new york did with their old trains.

Generous to a fault as usual I see!

Maybe some fish might appreciate them more that I did.
