I think you will be able to get *some* westbound train most of the day.
Obviously you can't do this the other way around, as you might end up
eastbound into the wrong platform.

Then there's the other way of changing platforms without stairs -
escalators up and down. Like at City Thameslink. Are there any Circle
Line stations that allow a twin-escalator [or lift] change of direction?

Westminster springs to mind.
