Crossrail 2 is currently eyeing up some.


That's probably too far in the future for Sir Peter -- he'll be long gone
before Crossrail 2 opens. He must have something more immediate in mind.


I can believe TfL wanting to get their paws on the routes early on. It might
make it easier to impose the new route if it's TfL already running things.

Also politically it would expand TfL's rail operations into more boroughs
and hopefully cut the howls from outer south London boroughs about services
they don't have.
