Default Tube strike this week - Weds 8 and Thurs 9 July

'The London Tube strike will "definitely go ahead" for 24 hours from
Wednesday evening, union Aslef has said.'

Although the effect is much more than 24hrs.

From TfL email:

"there will be no Tube service from late afternoon on Wednesday 8 July
and no Tube service at all on Thursday 9 July."

So that's at least 36hrs.

Isn't that true of all the one or two day strikes? They always start
during the middle of one day, and so screw up at least one extra day.

Yes, which makes it even more disingenuous for the union to claim it's a
24hr strike.
