If the tunnels consist of segments like the tube does it's not so hard

Where and why?

Just speculation, but could it be where existing tube lines were diverted
to give cross platform interchanges with the Victoria line (which took
over some existing station tunnels) at stations like Oxford Circus?

Finsbury Park, Euston and other places where step plate junctions were
created to join new tunnels to old. The booklets at the time described all
this stuff.
