Default Exciting Day Ahead for Brighton Commuters?

In message , at 09:05:37
on Mon, 20 Jun 2016, remarked:
Wow, they've just crept in under the wire because the most recent
deadline was "end of Spring".

I heard mid-May was the original date for maiden voyage.

I think Roland was pointing out that Midsummer Day might just count as "end
of Spring".

Facebook have been telling me all day it's the first day of Summer,
although other definitions exist.

This is what I posted a little time ago:

"So all we need to know is whether they are using the
Astronomical[1], Meterological[2] or Parliamentary[3] definition
of "Spring".

If the latter the "late Spring" is traditionally the very last
day, and thus "early Spring" can be anything up until that!

Or even the Summer timetable on the 15th May.

[1] June Solstice
[2] End of May
[3] Traditionally perhaps the session ending 26th June[4] this
year, although Spring may be over on the rearranged day of
the Queen's Speech (now 18th May)

[4] In retrospect, perhaps 15th June.
