What is the minimum scheduled time to be found on LU between arriving
at a terminal point and departing in the opposite direction on the
next journey. At the opposite extreme which terminal generally
affords the longest regular turnaround time between journeys?
4 minutes is the minimum scheduled for a driver to change ends.
Do drivers still walk back at Bank W&C, like they did in BR days?
That's where the driver of a train gets out at the buffers and another
driver, waiting at the departing end of the platform, gets in and
takes the train out. Meanwhile the first driver walks along the
platform so that s/he can take the next train out as soon as it
arrives.
