London Bridge is quicker but has steps; Waterloo is longer, but flat.
When changing at London Bridge I find it easier to take the escalator up to
the Borough High Street ticket hall and then go back down again. I know for
a fact that this is quicker than using the subway; though I think it might
involve negotiating some steps at the Northern Line end.
Ah - I never tried the Borough High Street end; the station end, which I
often did, wasn't quicker.
