I did that with my new, doesn't start until tomorrow, Oyster card and
it had a pay as you go top up shown from some time in June. Is that
normal?

I have to admit, the top-up info on mine was a bit random too (lots of
references to £0.00 and so on), but the "tickets on this card" and
"journeys made" sections seemed more or less correct.
