Are you sure you're not thinking about a newspaper dated 1 April? Funny things
can appear in them from time to time.
BBC Radio Oxford ran exactly such a story on 1 April quite a few years
ago. It explained that certain of oxford's older buildings were going
to have to be demolished to make way for the new vehicles and -
predictably - elicited a plethora of complaints from the public.......
(Good to be back on the NG after an absence of a couple of weeks caused
by a pretty serious PC failure!)
