Default Our ways to reduce Vandalism (was: Ways to Reduce Vandalism)

As far as I can tell the barrier should be open for 2 seconds to allow
someone to walk through. Try it yourself. Hold your hands together in front
of you then pull them apart start counting. Keep them in the same position
but move your body forwards (elbows going backwards), when your hands are
behind you stop counting. Or, you could get someone to open a door that you
are standing in front of then tell them to close it after 2 seconds (NOTE:
doors are wider than gates so you will need more time with a door to stop
getting bashed in the arm!)
You could redesign the gates so there is less clearance on top and at the
bottom (by attaching something to the Paddles or by getting different
gates). At unstaffed stations you could get a Help button (which would be
linked to the CCTV control room) if you cant manage gates or if your ticket
wont allow access.

I think we should now use the Ideas in the Ways to Reduce Vandalism and come
up with the best ideas.
