Would anyone do that? They must be nuts... unless taxis are allowed through
the cargo tunnel (which I don't think they are).

It happens a lot at night time when the buses (free or otherwise) do not
provide the service. There are also the nearby hotels to each of the
terminals that customers can't wait to get to :-)
