You seriously think all the tourists on the tube taking pictures of
their friends and themselves get a permit beforehand? As long as he
doesn't look like he's doing any professional work (eg camera on
stand, taking 5 mins to set up a shot etc) its very unlikely any LU
staff would bother him.


Maybe, but he (if you mean EorJames) would be engaged in commercial
photography (i.e. being paid for it), and should be made aware of LU's
position on this.
