Default Wimbledon branch of District line - why us?

4. Why is it always the Wimbledon branch that is most affected?

Usually when there's a problem, the Wimbledon branch still gets a
reasonable service. The main problem with that branch is the

large
amount of failures which actually occur on it! The section

between
East Putney and Wimbledon is signalled and controlled by Network
Rail,
and there is a long standing problem down there with signals
'bobbing' with the slightest shower of rain! Hopefully this will

be
addressed before too long.

It seems that the infamous Southfields signal is still broken

several
months later. Does anyone know of any plans to fix it? I am

unable
to fill in the tube comments form because the list of 'stations

where
the delay occured' is blank if District line is selected and the

form
cannot be submitted without that being filled in

Probably becaue the station and that section of track is not

maintained by
LU. Try Network Rail.

1. According to the form on the website there are no stations on the
district line at all - it's not just the ones on the shared track that
don't appear.
2. The last I heard from the tube was that there was a joint project
between them and NR to decide who was responsible for the track - has
that finished now then? Wouldn't it have been cheaper to simply
replace the signal rather than get a team of people to spend weeks and
weeks deciding who is responsible for doing it?

Finally... Circle line drivers seem to be getting lost:

"The Circle Line has severe delays clockwise only.
This will affect journeys from 16:00 on 13/04/05 until further notice.
This is due to signalling problems at Wimbledon Park Station. "
