What is involved in replacing a corrupted paper weekly travel card.
Mine wont work in any gates and it is begining to be a pain in the
arse. Its not too bad at manned stations (where the gates are manned I
mean) but at manned stations where only the booking office is manned it
is getting to be a nuisance.
I asked about a new ticket but was told it would take a long time to
issue.
Why can't they just issue a new ticket and take the old one?

I assume it's a National Rail issued ticket, as I think LU only issue
Weekly period travelcards on Oyster. If so which TOC issued it?

About a year ago, I had a WAGN (now 'one') paper monthly period
travelcard that didn't work the LU barriers. The issuing station
replaced it in minutes - the only difference being there was no price
on it, and was watermarked 'replacement'.

Having said this, I know there's a new(ish) ticket issuning system in
place at both the WAGN and 'one' stations I use, so this might be part
of the problem...
