Is this really the end of the Routemasters?

I've just been reading that tomorrow (09/12) is the end for
Routemasters. Is this true? I lived in London for several years and
Routemasters were the very symbol of transport in the Capital.
If it is true, it will be sad to see them go, as public transport goes,
they were a unique part of the culture and heritage of the capital.
They won't be completely gone - Kenny L has got London Buses to run a
couple of 'Heritage Routes', where Routemasters run as additionals
alongside the booked plastic. So far the 9 and the 15 have Routemasters
running along their routes.
That's something I suppose, but back when I lived down there it was
most routes running into Central London and many more besides.. I moved
down there when the 18 had just converted to ordinary buses, and over
the next 10 years I was there many more buses that changed over... it's
still a shame to see them all disappear.
