Default Single from Heathrow (Piccadilly Line) to Gatwick

Anyway, my question is - could they get a through ticket that includes
travelcards, just as they could do if they were starting outside London

Probably wouldn't be any cheaper, certainly if you all have oyster
cards.

Well they haven't got Oyster cards, but I've got Oyster leaflets/application
forms sitting about in my "useful things" pile, so I might look into that if
it saves a few quid (providing the minimum top-up amount for the Oyster card
isn't all that much). Well, just looked and the minimum's £10, and from
where we live in Berkshire Oyster's not worth using, so that's not going to
be worth doing.

If you do take the tube, Piccadilly to Barons Court, District to
Victoria would be the best move (cross platform at Barons Court).
However it will cost £5-10 for the tube trip.

Yup, £10 for 2 adults + 1 child, plus £13.60 for singles for the lot of them
from Victoria, or £16.60 for a Travelcard from Gatwick (restricted to FCC,
so Blackfriars then).
