Strictly from a tourist's standpoint, does anyone know of any closed
or old tube stops that are open for touring? The nice slow ride
through Mornington Crescent was interesting (slight sarcasm) but I
would love to tour an old out of service tube station thats been
closed for many years. Any body know of any?

Sadly the Health & Safety morons have resulted in visits to closed
stations on the system all but impossible now.

More information on closed stations on the Underground can be found he
http://underground-history.co.uk/front.php

There are also instances where stations on open lines are temporarily
closed for months for major work but the trains still pass through. Until
a couple of weeks ago Queensway (Central Line) was shut although I think
it has reopened now.

Lancaster Gate is supposed to be closed and Regents Park closes for lift
work next week I believe.
