I had a quick check on the new spanking machines at Surbiton. Those machines
are great. They take credit cards easily. I was about to say "easier than
the staff", but that's not true. Less grumpy maybe, but not easier.

Anyway. It seems £10.75 return is better value. But can I buy a ticket at
this time of night for "today"? I'm pretty sure that if I bought a ticket at
00.30, that only applies till daybreak. I may be wrong, but I'm not risking
it. Why can't the machines allow me to buy a future ticket?
