I have a z1-2 card and on a couple of trips to Heathrow I have done
exactly what I used to do, bought an extension from the ticket booth.
It would be nice to do this online but to be honest I'm not sure I
would be organised enough!

FWIW on both occasions the ticket seller has not actually checked that
my oyster covers the zones I have told them it does. I guess in theory
i could tell them it is z1-5.
